Summary of the platform
Velixa is a UK-based, multi-tenant booking and business-management SaaS for appointment-based businesses (we call them "Merchants"). The platform provides:
- Online booking on velixa.co.uk, on each Merchant’s hosted website (
/site/<slug>), and on an embeddable booking widget the Merchant can place on any third-party website. Prices shown at booking reflect the selected staff member’s rate, which may differ from the base service price. - A unified customer account that works at every Merchant on the platform — one login, one profile, separate marketing preferences per Merchant, and strict per-Merchant data isolation.
- Merchant dashboard with calendar, services, staff management (including per-staff pricing and scheduling), customers, marketing, analytics, business intelligence, multi-location support and add-on integrations.
- Native mobile apps for merchants on iOS and Android (Velixa Merchant), enabling full account management including bookings, staff, scheduling and payments from a mobile device.
- Loyalty programmes run by individual Merchants — customers earn points on completed appointments and may redeem them against future bookings at that Merchant.
- Memberships sold by individual Merchants — recurring subscription products that give customers access to defined benefits or discounts. Charged to the customer’s saved card via Stripe.
- Gift cards sold by individual Merchants — redeemable against bookings or services at the issuing Merchant.
- Email and SMS notifications for booking confirmations, reminders, receipts, follow-ups and (with consent) marketing.
- Automated content moderation for public reviews and photos, using AI tooling. Held items are reviewed by a human before appearing publicly.
- Two distinct payment flows: (a) Merchants subscribe to Velixa via Stripe Checkout; (b) Customers pay Merchants for bookings, memberships and gift cards via Stripe Connect — each Merchant connects their own Stripe account and receives funds directly.
- Platform admin control panel used by Velixa staff to operate the service, handle moderation, and support merchants.
